I pride myself in being able to bring an extremely positive attitude to the table when I teach my students, and it is this trait that allows me to break through any learning barriers a student might have. I enjoy restoring confidence and ensuring success in all of my students. I hold a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix, and during my education there I not only accumulated the necessary tools, techniques, and tricks to succeed in the field of education, but also a huge amount of first-hand teaching experience. As part of my studies, I taught first and third grade classes for four years, and I enjoyed the challenge of working closely with students with Asperger's, epilepsy, ADHD, and severe emotional disorders. I am more than capable of teaching a wide variety of subjects, but I have the most experience with teaching elementary school students in the subjects of math, reading, phonics, grammar and mechanics, and English. My main goal when I teach to get my students excited, and it is truly surprising how simply adding a simple game into the equation can transform a learning experience. In my spare time, I love to read and spend time in the outdoors.
